Find Fourth of July fireworks in the Dan River region

June 25, 2019 by Mason Adams

July 4 marks 243 years since the American colonies declared independence from Great Britain, an event definitely worth celebrating with fireworks.

The communities of the Dan River region have been part of that heritage since colonial days, and they’re a great place to celebrate Independence Day with the whole family. Here are just a few of the cool events and fireworks displays happening on the Fourth.

Proceeds from Burgerfest go to building a dog park at Recreation Acres. Then, check out fireworks beginning at dusk.

Halifax County, Virginia

Celebrate Independence Day at Patrick Henry’s Red Hill. The event begins at 3 p.m., with fireworks at dusk. Patrick Henry served as Virginia’s first governor.
